PhD research opportunities

Mathematics and Statistics brings together our internationally leading research in several areas of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics, including number theory, arithmetic geometry, geophysical and astrophysical fluid dynamics, dynamical systems, control theory, statistical forecasting, data science, AI and uncertainty quantification. We offer PhD, MPhil and Masters by Research in both full-time and part-time options with various start dates. This includes options for PhD by research publication. We are happy to work with any interested individuals and organisations to offer research degrees across all areas of our expertise.
