I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. I currently work on hybrid models for weather and climate prediction that combine traditional dynamics-based modelling with machine learning for physics parametrisations.
My PhD focused on the issue of physic-dynamics coupling in weather and climate models, and in particular approaches to time-stepping with physics processes in a moist shallow water model build using compatible finite elements.
