Overview

Jack Spencer is an industrial research fellow with the Translational Research Exchange @ Exeter (TREE), based at the Living Systems Institute. He obtained a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool in 2012, before pursuing a PhD at the Centre for Mathematical Imaging Techniques at the same institution. The thesis concerned variational methods for image segmentation. He then joined the EPSRC Liverpool Centre for Mathematics in Healthcare as a postdoctoral research associate in 2016 before joining the University of Exeter in 2018. His research interests focus on the medical applications of image processing.
