I'm co-director of the NERC Centre for Doctoral Training UNRISK (Understanding Uncertainty to Reduce Climate Risks), hosted between Leeds, Exeter and UCL. Projects for September 2026 start will go live in early October.
Research interests: emulating and history matching (calibrating) expensive computer models with high-dimensional input and output spaces, discrepancies between models and observations, environmental modelling, communicating uncertainty, statistical modelling, machine learning
See Research Outputs tab and Google Scholar for publications.
Recent work has covered a wide range of applications, including volcanic ash disperion, land surface modelling, air quality, Covid-19, and agent based modelling.
