I use a combination of observations and models to understand high impact weather systems in the present and and future climate in order to improve climate resilience and improve disaster reduction.
As well as research and teaching, I am the Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. In this role I chair the department WIDER group (https://mathematics.exeter.ac.uk/about/edi/).
