About me:

I am a marine scientist interested in using multidisciplinary approaches and innovative technologies to improve ocean management. This encompasses the fields of conservation science, fisheries science, data science, social science, remote sensing, spatial ecology, high performance computing and economics. My research focuses on improving our understanding of the impacts of global fishing activity by investigating interactions with species, habitats and management zones.

Currently, my research is focussed on investigating bottom contact fishing gear impacts on global blue carbon release as apart of the Convex Seascape Survey.

Previously, I have been involved in projects focussed on improving the management of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing within large scale marine protected areas in the UK overseas territories, the satellite tracking of basking sharks and tuna in UK waters and creating quantitative assessments of ocean health.
