Dr Joanne Mason is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Exeter, where she has been since 2012. Prior to this she held postdoctoral appointments in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Chicago and the High Altitude Observatory in Boulder, Colorado. She obtained her PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Leeds in 2004.
