Mr Jefferson Goncalves De Souza

I am a researcher working at the intersection of Earth System Science, climate modelling, and computational science. My research focuses on understanding how climate variability, land-use change, and wildfires affect ecosystem productivity, carbon cycling, and vegetation dynamics. I combine land surface modelling, Earth observation data, climate reanalysis products, and high-performance computing to investigate environmental change from regional to global scales.

My work involves the development of computational workflows for processing large environmental datasets, analysing model outputs, and integrating satellite observations with Earth system models. I have particular expertise in scientific programming with Python, geospatial data analysis, and the use of high-performance computing facilities for large-scale environmental research.
