Abby Horrocks, the Pastoral Mentor for the Maths & Statistics Department, proactively engages with undergraduate and postgraduate students to enhance their university experience and success through individualised guidance. By bridging gaps between university services, she prioritises student wellbeing and fosters a sense of community and belonging. Abby collaborates closely with the Harrison Student Hub, Education Welfare Team, and Academics within the department to develop action plans and academic support systems, aiming to improve student attendance and engagement, creating an inclusive, supportive, and accessible academic community.
