Hiya!!! :D
- I am a second-year doctoral candidate in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Exeter. I am currently working with Prof. Theo Economou and Prof. Chunbo Luo on Environmental Epidemiology. My current project focuses on developing robust hierarchical, interpretable, distributed lagged nonlinear models.
- Along with PGTA for UG MAT2006 and PG MTMH501 courses, I serve as a PGR Representative for the Maths and Stats department, working closely with the PGR Director.
- Previously, I completed my PGT in Applied Data Science and Statistics from the University of Exeter.
- Won MSc Applied Data Science and Statistics Project Award 2023 for Thesis on Air Quality Modelling under the supervision of Dr Matthew Lloyd Thomas.
- Won Exeter Award for completing Setsquared IKEEP programme.
- Prior PGT, I served as a Data Scientist Researcher for Intersection of Gender and Technology in Bangladesh funded by Gates Foundation.
- Completed my UG in Computer Science and Engineering from North South University, Bangladesh(NSU). As a research assistant under supervision of Prof. Nova Ahmed, co-authored multiple Human Computer Interaction HCI research publications, won prestigious Gary Marsden Student Travel grant worth $2735 and presented at HCI's top conference alt CHI'19. Also served as marker at Department of English and Modern Languages at NSU.
- Besides research, I love reading, travelling, trekking, learning new recipes, and socialising with friends and colleagues.
