I am currently a PDRA in University of Exeter specializing in climate system modeling, model optimization, and extreme event attribution. I received my Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from Sun Yat-sen University, with a visiting research period at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on improving climate model performance through automatic tuning techniques and machine learning, with a particular interest in low-cloud processes that influence equilibrium climate sensitivity. I have contributed to the development of the unstructured-grid climate model SYCIM2.0 and have published multiple papers in leading international journals. My work also includes attribution studies of extreme weather events using large-ensemble simulations and observational datasets. I have extensive experience in running and tuning various Earth system models (e.g., CESM, FGOALS-g3, CIESM) and am proficient in statistical analysis of climate data, including variability diagnostics, model evaluation, and uncertainty quantification. Throughout my academic journey, I have been a recipient of multiple government scholarships and university awards.
