I am a 3rd year NERC GW4+ Doctoral Training Partnership PhD student studying the stratospheric pathway and far-flung influences on mid-latitude climate and weather extremes, as part of the wider ArctiCONNECT and SNAPSI projects. You can learn more about me on my webpage!
The TL;DR is that in addition to my PhD, I became Co-Editor-in-Chief of Weather in July 2024, after being the Royal Meteorological Society's Science Engagement Fellow for Youth and Early Career Scientists for the year from June 2023. At the start of 2023, I was also part of a joint-Exeter and Bristol team reviewing climate change attribution in UK natural hazards and their impacts for the UK Climate Change Committee ahead of the next Climate Change Risk Assessment. Previously, I graduated from the University of Bristol in the summer of 2019 with a MSci in physics with astrophysics, before working in finance for 2 years.
