Mathematics and Statistics
Dr. Peiqiang Xu is an Associate Professor in meteorology at Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). By using observations, idealized models and outputs from the GCMs, he aims to improve current understanding of key controls on the large-scale circulation in the middle latitudes, and how this may change in the future. Dr. Xu is currently a one-year academic visitor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) Fellowship. More information and a full list of his publications can be found here.
