Natsani Brandon Dube is a PhD researcher in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Exeter, working in statistical ecology and data science. His research develops and applies spatial and spatio-temporal statistical models to understand how ecological patterns and processes vary across space and time, and how survey effort and sampling shape what can be observed. He works mainly within Bayesian hierarchical and computational statistics, carrying out his analysis in R and Python, and is interested in turning imperfect, real-world ecological data into reliable and defensible conclusions. His background spans ecology, animal science, and conservation, which informs his interest in questions across environmental science, conservation, and agriculture.
