Professor Jimmy Tseng

Jimmy Tseng is an associate professor of mathematics and the Director of Postgraduate Research for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. He has previously held teaching and research positions at the University of Bristol, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Ohio State University.
Professor Tseng's research is in pure mathematics, primarily in homogeneous dynamics, Diophantine approximation (a subfield of number theory), ergodic theory, aspects of geometry and aspects of analytic number theory. One of the research topics that he is currently focused on is shrinking target horospherical equidistribution.
