Mathematics and Statistics

I am an applied physicist with a broad interest in nonlinear dynamics and complex systems and their application to understand the physical world, and in particular climate, at a conceptual level. My main research focus is how clouds and transitions between different cloud states affect climate and climate variability.

I am passionate about teaching applied mathematics with a fresh, hands-on style and I have developed several workshops and educational material that you can access for free under open licenses.

I lead the JuliaDynamics software organization, and have been developing software and documentation since 2017. In parallel with these efforts I am developing educational material and perform workshops on promoting open source code and utilizing good scientific code practices in research and academia.
